Islamic Center of Richmond (“ICR,” “we,” “us”) is a non-profit religious organization located at 8481 Hungary Road, Glen Allen, VA 23060. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from donors, members, and visitors, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to information collected through our website (icrva.org), our online donation and member portal, paper forms such as pledge cards, and our text-message (SMS) program.
Information we collect
When you make a pledge or donation, register for a program or class, sign up for communications, or contact us, we may collect your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, and the details of your pledge, donation, or registration. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored by ICR. If you check the text-message opt-in box on a pledge card or form, we also record that you consented to receive text messages at the mobile number you provided, and the date of your consent.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to record and acknowledge pledges and donations; issue receipts and year-end tax acknowledgements; send pledge confirmations and payment reminders; respond to your questions and requests; manage program registrations; and keep you informed about ICR services and events (by email or mail, or by text message only if you have opted in).
Text message (SMS) program
If you opt in on a pledge card, ICR will send you SMS text messages about your pledge, including pledge confirmations, reminders when a pledge payment is due, and thank-you or receipt messages after a donation is received. Messages are sent from (804) 781-3270. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and you can get help by replying HELP or by contacting us at info@icrva.org. Opting in to text messages is optional and is never a condition of making a pledge or donation. Our full text-message terms are available at icrva.org/sms-terms.
Mobile information and text-message consent are not shared
We do not share, sell, rent, or provide your mobile phone number, text messaging opt-in data, or messaging consent to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of sharing described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Service providers
We use a small number of service providers that process information only on ICR’s behalf and only to provide services to us, such as our donor-management and member portal (MOHID), our text-message delivery provider, our email delivery provider, and our payment processors. These providers are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing or for any purpose other than providing their services to ICR.
Other disclosures
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of ICR, our community, or others.
Your choices
Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving texts from ICR. To update, correct, or delete your contact information, or to stop receiving email or mail from ICR, email info@icrva.org or call (804) 494-4349.
Security and retention
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information. Signed pledge cards and donation records are kept on file as required for our accounting and tax reporting.
Children
Our website and messaging program are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
