About the community

  • I have been visiting this community since 7 years and conducted many programs and lectures. The community has grown since then. This community has embarked on the Masjid building project and needs your support and contribution. I request one and all to help in this noble cause and benefit from the tremendous rewards from Allah in this life and the hereafter.

Mufti Asif Iqbal, Imam of Manassas Muslim Association

  • I have moved into this Muslim community few years ago and have realized that as the community is growing,so is the urgent need to complete this Masjid project for the protection and propagation of Islam. The community conducts many services like Ramadan Iftar, Taraweeh and Sunday school at rental places. Please help and support this project and put your shares in making this good tree of Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity).

Maulana Muhammad Mangera, Tahfeez Ustadh, ICR

  • Alhamdulillah, I enjoyed visiting this community for the last few years for Fund Raisers. The community is working hard to establish a Masjid and conducts its programs at rental locations. I request you to support this project in any manner you can.

Shaykh Hasan Abunar, Qari & Ustadh, Darul Uloom NY

HOW YOU CAN HELP?

Support the community with your financial contributions

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Among what continues to accrue for a believer of his good works after death are the following: knowledge that he learned and then imparted to others, a pious child whom he left behind, a copy of the Qur’ân that he bequeathed, a mosque that he built, a guest house he built for travelers, a river that he made to flow, and charity he spends from his wealth when he is in good health – all of this continues to avail him after his death.” [Sunan Ibn Majah and Sunan al-Bayhaqi]

The Prophet (peace be upon him) passed by a grave and asked his companions about it. His companions replied it is the grave of Umm Muhjan. The Prophet (S) rebuked them because they did not inform him of her death and then prayed the funeral prayer over her. He then said: ‘Why did you not inform me?’ They replied- you were sleeping and we did not like to wake you’. The Prophet prayed for her and had great respect for her as she used to spend her efforts in cleaning the house of Allah and the Prophet’s masjid.”[Sahih Muslim]

There are many volunteer opportunities at Islamic Center of Richmond. Please volunteer your time and efforts. Fill in the volunteer form and send it our way.

The best way

“When my servants ask you (O Muhammad) concerning me, (tell them) I am indeed close (to them). I listen to the prayer of every supplicant when he calls on me. So let them obey Me and believe in Me, so that they may be led aright." [2:186]

We can accomplish nothing without the will of Allah. Please do make dua for this community.
